Today, a man kept talking and laughing like an idiot all through the movie I was watching. I thought he was high, so I called him a moron and told him to shut the hell up. It turned out he wasn't high. He was just "special". FML

Today, my cat brought home a bloody, barely-living mouse. The thing managed to escape and dragged itself into a crack in the wall, where it must have died. The only way to get it out before it starts to stink up the place is by demolishing the wall. FML

I saw it coming, so I'd planned to play it cool by saying, "If you're sure it's something we can't fix, I'd rather not talk about it". After a while, I realised I was just sitting there like a child, fidgeting and shaking. FML

FML Dear all, this is OP. The world (including the Internet) always shows its true beauty when you need it most. These comments have truly helped me through a tough few days. It's hard to include all the context of a situation in just 300 characters, I guess I consider myself a strong person so I was just wanting to get across the point that I never thought I'd show so much emotion to something like this, regardless how much I truly love her. To add some context when I say "I saw it coming" I meant in the sense of a day not weeks, she'd given me the "We need to talk in person" text earlier in the day. Everyone on here has been amazing, I'm not phased by the "Man up" comments, as I said before there isn't a lot of context in 300 characters, to update you all I'm doing fine. I'll get through this. Life requires us to forgive, forget and move on. I always carry a 'shit happens' attitude and a knowledge that everything will be fine given time. I'm focusing on the positives of the situation, at least now I can date/marry someone with a rich family and a lucrative career.

Hey everyone, OP here! I just wanted to take this opportunity to explain a few things: 1) I am a female (not that it matters), and I am "India Indian" haha. 2) The reason why I was so offended by it was because she said it in almost a mocking tone. I also didn't like that she took one look at me and assumed that I was Mexican (not that there's anything wrong with being Mexican). I just don't believe in classifying people by how they look and automatically assuming they're a part of a certain ethnicity. 3) I have been taking Spanish for 3-4 years, so I can speak Spanish quite well. And I'm also so glad this got posted :)
