Today, I had a major falling out with my best friend. Angry, I sent a short text message to him explaining how I felt. I soon noticed I'd accidentally texted "I'm going to fucking kill you, asshole." to my boss instead. I'm still waiting on a reply. FML
Today, I received a text saying, "I don't think we should be friends anymore. You're terribly depressing and you make everyone unhappy" followed by, "Oops, wrong person!" and then by, "Sorry, it really is for you". FML
Today, I texted my girlfriend a long, heartfelt message this morning. Her response? "What do you need? Or is this even really you?" FML
Today, my best friend texted me and told me she broke up with her boyfriend. Trying to be supportive, I sent a long message about how he never deserved her and that I was there for her if she needed someone to vent to. She replied, "Are you high?" FML
Today, I accidentally texted "Haha, what a fucking weirdo!" to the person I was talking about. Their reply? "At least I’m not dumb enough of a cunt to send texts to the wrong person." FML
Today, my girlfriend accused me of not having any friends. So I sent out a mass text saying "Hey, what's up?" to prove her wrong. I didn't get any replies. FML
Today, feeling festive, I sent everyone on my phone's contact list a holiday message. Almost everyone replied back "who's this?" FML
Today, I sent a group text round to my friends asking if they wanted to hang out sometime. One of my friends thought this was aimed directly at her and confessed her love for me. FML
Today, I took a selfie and I looked creepy in it, so I sent it to a friend thinking it would be funny. He just said, "Dude, that's what you look like. I don't get it." FML
Today, my day began with a "Good morning, beautiful." and ended with a "Maybe someone would love you if you were pretty." FML

Incorrect. Being a "good friend" to someone is to encourage them in a personal way. For example: "Congrats on your promotion at work" or "Happy Birthday!" or "You look so good since the weight loss." It's personal; the person sending the message knows something about the person they're speaking to, and they say something that is tailored to the person they're sending the message to. A generic "You are all beautiful!" is not encouraging, because it's a generic message that says that she doesn't care enough about her friends to actually communicate with them on an individual level. It's lazy. Instead of communicating encouragement or affection, it communicates: "I do not think you're worth any of my real time." So yeah, OP deserved it. And hopefully she learned a valuable lesson.

Well, people throw them around trying to sound understanding and compassionate, but their actions are in stark contrast to the person they apparently wish to be. That, to me, is what makes all these "inspirational" quotes so annoying.

I think the only way I can really see them as special is if they're truly sincere, which to me does not mean copying and pasting from some website. To me, it means originating from the person sending/saying/posting them, from personal experience and thought. But I don't know, maybe it's just me. Everybody else seems to love plagiarized inspirational quotes.

The most annoying over-used quote that gets plagarised these days is "I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I’m out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best". Everything with **** and the ability to talk seems to think they're Marilyn Monroe, and most of them must be oblivious to the fact as they say this as though it's their own thought expecting nobody to call them on it.
