Today, is my boyfriend and my 3 year anniversary. We decided to give each other something that we really needed. I bought him the $300 worth of books that he needed for college. He surprised me with a workout video and exercise equipment. FML

Do you like working out? He could just be buying you something you enjoy. For example...my boss bought his wife a year membership to a new gym because she works out 12 times a week. She took it as he was hinting that she was fat. If you like to work out or you have mentioned that you want to work out more; he was probably just trying to be nice. And not mean.

Thats not bad, hes either just looking out for you because he wants you to be healthy or just thinks you'd like it. And if you've been together for 3 years, I doubt it was mean spirited.

If your happy with your weight then he should be to, but if you complain about it you deserved it. Personally I think it's a selfish gift.

who told you that "I's" was a proper contraction in the english language? it would be "my boyfriend's and my 3 year anniversary" you wouldn't say "it's I's birthday," would you? no. you would say "it's MY birthday."
