Today, the three-year-old I was babysitting asked me where my boyfriend was. I told her he was at his house. I'm twenty and single. I lied to a three year old to make myself look less pathetic. FML

you really needed to impress a three year old?

Wow, that's really sad... and what's pathetic about being 20 and single (I'm 20 and single haha).

i can't imagine a single point in my life where I would feel ashamed for being single. what's the big deal?

What's wrong with being 20 and single?

It's fine to be single as long as you're GETTING SOME. I haven't gotten any in 2 months... =/ I'm a girl too. And cute. It's just that all the decent-looking guys with decent personalities are all taken and don't seem to be interested in random hookups.

Words cannot express the lameness of this FML. I want my 30 seconds back.

lying to a 3year old is wayyyy more pathetic than being single too many people assume single people are incapable of having a girlfriend/boyfriend or that said person lives around that same neighborhood or somewhere close anyway you shouldnt care about how anyone thinks of you negatively if they do because i feel unhappy when i take criticism like that seriously i agree with pretty much everyone else on this fml :D edit: #53 you obviously must not have a very good sense of decency if you really are so promiscuous

don't worry, she'll be in that position one day.

So apparently you're the only single 20 year-old out there? You're not pathetic for being single, but lying to impress a toddler is sad...

If you want a 45-year-old, fat, married boyfriend, I'll take the job. Send me lots of naked pictures of yourself so I can complete the narrative when someone grill me about our torrid, torrid affair. I'll send you the naked pix of myself, so you can make up lurid details of our sexual escapades. Don't tell the dirty stuff to the three-year-old, K?

To be fair, your boyfriend was probably at home. He's just not your boyfriend *yet*. ;)
