Today, while driving out to the countryside with my new boyfriend, we came across a deer lying in the road. It seemed badly hurt, but instead of letting me get out and make sure, my boyfriend decided to just run over its head to finish it off, then continued driving with a smirk on his face. FML

Today, I hit a dead deer that had been left in the middle of the road. My car started to make a funny noise and smell, so I pulled over to check it, thinking I blew the tire on some antlers. The deer had got stuck in my front wheel, and I'd dragged it more than a mile. And it wasn't actually dead. FML

Today, I was in the car with my boyfriend, who was driving down the highway with the windows down. All of a sudden, everything went black. A cattle truck had sped past, and I had been hit by cow faeces travelling at 110km an hour. My boyfriend was hysterical. None of it hit him. FML

Today, I was on a drive with my uncle. We saw a dead deer on the side of the road and expressed our pity for it. Then a squirrel runs across the road and my uncle swerves toward the squirrel, laughing hysterically and yelling, "Run rodent run." FML

Today, I let my boyfriend drive my car, knowing that he doesn't have a license. While he was out, he ran a stop sign, collided with another vehicle, and then left the scene of the accident. Then he lied to me about how the accident happened so I "wouldn't be so upset." FML

Today, I volunteered to go get ice cream if I could use my mother's car. She told me to be VERY careful. Not ten minutes later, I hit a deer, which got up and walked off as though nothing had happened. FML

Chances are, if it was lying on the road, it WAS injured. Even so, running over its head was cruel and rather ignorant of OP's boyfriend; it was a sick thing to do and he should've called an animal expert out. Then again, going to check on it would've been a bad move on OP's part because animals often carry diseases and such - another reason to call an animal expert. Overall, OP, your boyfriend is an a**hole.

It died quickly, slightly faster most likely than even euthanasia from a vet. I would have done the same, but without the smirk. No matter who you called or brought the deer to, if it was too injured to even make it out of the street, they would have euthanized it, whether through a gunshot or a sterile needle. When a racehorse breaks its leg, if it can't stand, it is immediately euthanized on the track, it has no hope, and better it be given a quick end. If they'll give up on an animal worth millions so quickly, then there is absolutely no hope for the deer.

The smirk=jerk. But the animal is injured and would probably have tried to gore you if it could not get away. Then puting it out of it's misery, what other tool did you have at your disposal?
