Today, I was at a restaurant with my kids. I told my 13 year old about how the very first time she said she loved me. She was 2 and it was at this very restaurant. I told her the details and even started tearing up a little. She didn't even look up from her cell phone and said, "That's fab, ma." FML
Today, I told my girlfriend I love her for the first time. She said, "Thanks." FML
Today, I told my mom, "I love you". She responded with, "What? I never told you I loved you." FML
Today, I told my mom I loved her a lot. Her reply? "Thanks." FML
Today, my daughter spoke her first words. Her dad had been practicing with her for weeks in secret. She crawled to me and said, "I poop." FML
Today, for my 18th birthday my mum gave me a black lace thong. I'm a guy. FML
Today, was my mom's birthday. I recently got my first job, thanks to her, and could finally afford to buy her something nice. I spent my first paycheck ever on buying her a very nice bracelet. She said it was nice, then asked if I would mind if she exchanged it for one she actually liked. FML
Today, it's my soon to be 12 year-old daughter's birthday. On my break at work I texted her how much I loved her and happy birthday. She replied with, "K, when will you be home? Mom won't let me open presents until you're here." Good to know I'm loved. FML
Today, my daughter asked me to hug her and tell her I love her, like I "always used to", because she “misses it.” She’s 25 years-old and acts like a little baby. FML
Today, my 15-year-old birth daughter asked if I've ever had sex. FML

Why is #14 speaking when she obviously never got laid? Peer pressure? Maybe not that far, but if you're wearing granny panties while you're 16(and you aren't a big fatass loser cow), and your friends notice, they would most definitely make fun of you. It happens. What the **** is up with you people? 1) a 16-year-old wearing a thong is nothing to be surprised about and it definitely doesn't make her a **** or a *****. 2) I never say "I love you" to my mom either. Why would I need to say it? I'm sure she knows it without me having to tell her. She never tells me either, but obviously I know she loves me, she's my mom ffs... And I tell people "I love you" jokingly all the time when they do something for me... I'm sure that was about the same situation here. I don't see how you people justify comments like "Someone's in need of therapy" or "You're a bad parent and your daughter is a ****". Welcome to the world?

Simmer down, 63. No need to get all mad because people think wearing thongs is slutty. It's just an opinion. OP: Umm... sorry, but that's just weird. Her wearing thongs isn't really messed up, but you buying them for her kind of is. Also. She's a teenager. We're not usually comfortable with saying affectionate stuff to our parents. From 14-17, I probably told my parents I loved them about 10 times total. It's just how it is.
