Today, my 14-year-old daughter convinced my son that when he was born, he was actually born as a girl, but we wanted a boy so bad we had his gender changed. Now he wants to change back to a girl because now he doesn't feel right as a boy. Last year, she got her other brother to cross dress. FML

Today, I had to console my bawling 6-year-old son and explain that his sister was lying when she told him that when boys in our family turn 13, they turn into girls. I'm not sure who disappoints me more right now. FML

Today, my older brother managed to convince my younger sister that she's actually a boy, and that she'll soon be getting a penis in the mail, which she excitedly told everyone she could. He convinced me of the exact same thing as well several years ago. FML

Today, my 16-year-old son convinced my 14-year-old daughter that she wasn't allowed to use the ladies bathroom at the shopping centre, because she wasn't wearing a dress like the girl on the sign. He told her girls in pants always used the other one. She believed him. This is my legacy. FML

Today, my eight year-old son came to me and said he thinks it's time he started wearing bras. It turns out his older brother has been mindfucking him for the past several months and has him convinced it's something all boys his age do. I can't convince him otherwise. FML

Today, I, a demigirl struggling with her identity, have decided to change my name. When I told my dad in therapy (of all places) that I was a demigirl, he struggled to understand me. When I told my mom I was changing my name, she yelled at me and refused to call me it. And she wonders why I don't trust her. FML

Today, I explained to my 5 year old daughter that her older sister from my husband's first marriage lives with her mommy, and my daughter lives with us. She exclaimed, "It's not fair! I want two mommies like she has! Can we swap, I like her mommy better than you anyway!" FML

YDI for overreacting. The sons can 'cross dress' however the much they want you hypocritical ass (I suppose you would've been absolutely fine with letting your daughter 'cross dress')? And if one of them now is a girl, support HER. Now, that the girl's manipulating them is one thing, but what if one of them genuinely wants what she's been 'manipulating them to want' and you make it sound like the whole world just fell apart? Damn, what century are you from?

36 - Calm down. If you read the FML correctly you would understand that the daughter manipulated the boys into that behavior; they did these things because their older sister convinced them to. Apparently you're barely older than the daughter in this FML so perhaps that's a reason you overreacted so much?

I paid my younger brother 10 cents to wear a dress and model it to my sister when he was a kid. He is a straight guy in his 20s now so what happens now is just kids being kids....

#38- right! Kids always mess with their siblings! It's something all siblings do! She's not beating them or anything, it's all in good fun. And in a few years, those boys will get her back. Tell her prom date embarrassing stories and such. No lasting harm. (:
