Today, I got an e-mail from my University saying I may have violated the Student Code of Conduct for being drunk in public at a football game, and now I have to go in to defend myself against charges. My lungs filled with fluid at the game, causing me to throw up. I had to be taken away in an ambulance. FML

So go defend yourself and tell them what happened. If this is true, it won't be a problem. No problem, really. Just a bit of an unfortunate mix-up.

Yeah it's easy to prove so not the worst thing ever... but I'd still call it FML because it's a huge unnecessary pain, especially since the OP's just gotten out of the hospital and is probably recovering and trying to catch up with all her other stuff.

Create an elaborate speech about how your innocent until proven guilty and that you should never have to defend yourself unless there is actually proof that you were drunk.

"Today, I had to prove to my school that I had a real medical emergency at a football game and wasn't just drunk. Because I kept all the paperwork from my ER visit, this was no more than a minor inconvenience. MLIA."

Was that fluid alcohol? Sounds like you got smashed, stormed the field naked, violated the mascot and now your trying to use fml as your alibi. I woun't be part of your sick game.

Ahh, trolls. Without you, who would click YDI on stories which are clearly FYLs for us?

Haha yeah if it weren't for people like me this could actually be a respectful site

The exact same thing happened to me at my school last year...just bring in a doctor's note, and they are pretty understanding.
