Skinny dipping is sexual. They weren't at a topless beach. I've indulged in impromptu swimming with female friends and unless we were looking for more than simple swimming the underwear stayed on.

@122 I think skinny dipping would come last in that list Your girlfriend probably knew, she couldn't have been that dumb; after reading some of these comments, maybe I'm wrong about that though. Of course it's not appropriate. For everyone asking why it's wrong, you must be the kind of people that are in "open relationships" but clearly that's not what OP has here. Also, you can get a lot of diseases from skinny dipping in anywhere but a private chlorinated pool (and even there it's not really safe). FYL OP
