At least you didn't get hit by a parked car.
Yeah, most of my parked car accidents act out like Ninja Car. Every time I look away that darned car comes a little closer until it pounces! It's both adorable and irritating.
#1 is your car called Christine by an chance? If you just gasped in shock that I should know this, trust me when I tell you that you really need to walk away from your car! No, actually just run like a Mofo!!
My jeep doesn't have a name. And why would I name a jeep Christine?
The book by Stephen King.. . duh
Thankyou! I must be showing my age if there is only one other person who has heard of Christine by Stephen King. Epic story about an evil car.
Me too. Copious times. Love Stephen king.
At least no one got hurt!
He may not have, but his pride sure as hell did.
Statistically men have more car accidents than women. Source: my mom, insurance agent
Hopefully you have good insurance! (You certainly pay enough for it as a new driver)
For the record, OP didn't say he was a new driver, just that he had his first accident. I had been driving 16 years before I had my first accident. Either way, what an absurd way to ruin a perfect record :)
No worries, Nation Wide is on their side
It was just a wrong place at the wrong time. Just explain if the owner goes berserk.
or poor driving skills.
And poor door opening skills. I really can't understand how people dent other cars with doors. Is the car you hit have a light emitting polymer??
Not the end of the world. Everyone has an "Oh ****!" day once in a while.
This, exactly. You learn from your mistakes. Maybe the crash was unavoidable, but now you'll always be more careful with your car doors. :)
"Maybe the crash was unavoidable"? Really?! I bet that parked car came out of nowhere. It probably didn't even signal.
#30, it could happen. After I parked in a last spot another driver parked their car at an angle next to mine. It was almost impossible to back out without hitting that car. There are some odd situations like this where hitting a parked car could certainly happen.
At least no one was hurt, it was good of you to try and give her your information even if it backfired. But like they say 'No good deed goes unpunished'.
No bad deed goes without cake
Mmm cake...
The positive thing is that no one got hurt! Everyone has a first car accident - you've gotten yours out of the way. Hopefully the owner was understanding
Some people never get into car accidents you know..,
True, I shouldn't have said everyone. But generally, most people do get into at least one accident.
Bad luck Brian...
Bad luck 11.
It's not your fault she decided to be in front of your door

Go big or go home? Good luck OP.
