Throwing rocks at a tree is a stupid idea. You could miss and hit a person. Or hit wild life that ten attacks you. Or have exactly what happened to you happen (Although, why weren't you standing farther away???)

Thanks for all the advice, guys. My mentor is a family friend, who's more of a friend, if anything, so I can't really fire her. She generally has decent advice but kinda failed me this time.... Well, very failed me this time. It was a pretty decent throw, I do play softball, just don't pitch, I'm the catcher. I've decided to not throw anything at anyone/thing anymore... I'm trying to count to a thousand first.

i have a hard time controlling my anger too but instead treat everything like a joke when something offensive is said too you, listen to some tunes etc.

this really isnt all the mentors fault, because throwing shit does help you actually relieve stress. What im guessing that happened was this guy was too ******* stupid to throw it at a tree that is far away and since he threw it hard it came back and hit him in the face. Since this was the first rock that you threw then you didnt relieve any stress. Your fault. Not the mentor's
