I feel sorry for you. I recently hat a simliar experience.... I told her "I love you" and then she broke up with me a few weeks later. I think she couldn't handle how our relationship was evolving. Now one of my best friends has fallen in love with her and I don't know how to handle it. I just hope it will take a turn for the better in your case. Otherwise she wasn't worth it.
