Since when do you need to be a non-virgin to get herpes? You can get it just from skin-to-skin contact. You can also get it from oral and anal sex, which many people seem to believe "doesn't count." It does. Don't jump to conclusions just yet. One of you probably had oral herpes and transmitted it through oral sex, then got it back through vaginal sex. Your doctor's not too bright if he or she failed to see any one of those possibilities.
