Today, my friend asked me for advice on how to break up with her boyfriend. I've never done it before so I googled it, my own boyfriend happened to walk in and now isn't speaking to me. He won't believe me when I say it was "for a friend." FML

Should have just told your friend to google it. Why couldn't she do it herself? Just have your friend talk to your bf

Probably should've just said which friend it was for off the bat so it sounds less like you're lying/hiding something.

Because that's what best friends are for. She ask for advice and Op wanted to help her friend. She could still Google it, but it should been more private.

Today I used mymmspy.com to hack my GF's MMS messages. While going through her pictures I found some dicks and noticed it was my dad she was texting. FML

26, it wasn't advertising - it was a joke because this comment thread started with 1 saying "just have your friend Google it." Maybe you should learn how to not take everything seriously and be a jerk about it. Also, go ahead and thumbs down because IDGAF.

just show your bf the texts between you and your friend ?

How did the world function before Google? Wait, I'll Google that.

On the other hand, if he distrusts his girlfriend that he won't even believe her when she said that she doesn't want to break up, maybe it's for the best.

Why is your friend asking you for advice on something you've never done? Why couldn't she google it herself?

It's not like Google knows this person and her relationship and will automatically spit out one correct way of breaking up (maybe one day soon though). By looking up the options OP can provide her perspective and suggest which ones she thinks would work better!

Yea... it does seem like a lame excuse... Should have had a **** tab at the ready (easier to explain)

If your boyfriend and your friend know each other, just let your friend back you up and explain.

Maybe try getting your friend to talk to him, to show you really do have a friend that wanted to break up with her boyfriend. If he still doesn't believe you after that, it might be for the best. You shouldn't waste time on someone who is just too stubborn to believe you, even after a reasonable explanation.

If you told him you weren't breaking up with him then wouldn't he get confirmation when you don't break up with him? If you actually were planning on breaking up with him it would be so much easier for you just did it then and you didn't so isn't that like a cue that it isn't happening?

Can you blame him? That sounds like bulshit.

Now you have first hand experience in what leads it in that direction, so you get to help your friend anyways.
