They're not so much crazy as superstitious. Plenty of people believe that cats are magic and have a great connection to the spirit world. There are tons of counts of cats being able to tell when someone is going to die, or have supernatural spiritual draws to bizarre instances. It's a big thing in Egyptian mythology too. :p

Cats are attracted to dying things cuz they find them super hot. Literally. Also, my cats a wizard I once caught him mixing up potions to dump in my food! So I says to him I says "pussy, whatchu doin wit my food!" Ooh he gets mad then, screams out "AVADA KADAVRA!" But as a learning magician, it only killed half of me for like an hour, thank goodness (: Moral of the story: never trust a pussy you let out of your sight! Goes double for women.

Alot of people think cats really are connected to the spiritual world, especially black cats. My friends Mum has nightmares about her dead mother every time their cat sleeps on her bed. juuuuust sayin.
