Unfair dismissal right there, so you can get a lawyer and go for a tribunal. It might be a waste of time, but you could get money out of it.

He can't do that legally. File for unemployment and get a lawyer.
Get the assistant to help you and sue awkward or not he has to give you your job back when realizing you weren't the person who was suppose to be fired
