Not really because we don't always turn out a certain way no matter how our parents raise us. I come from a very conservative Christian family yet I turned out to be an Agnostic Theist and far from conservative even though my parents raised me exactly how they were. So, he could of raised his son to be an upstanding citizen and yet still ended up with a bank robber.

But regardless of religion you still have a sense of morality, right? It's about instilling morals in children to do the right thing and caring enough as a parent to be disciplinary yet fair. If you've done your job right as a parent, your kid has a conscience and a sense of right and wrong.
