Today, I found out my son's dad stole his unemployment card and took the money. My son was homeless at the time and using his dad's address for mail. FML

That's some serious bullsh*t, you should call the cops. Not only is it possibly grand theft/larceny, it is also a felony just for opening the mail that's not addressed to him.

I'm sorry. Life is rough enough without so called family members making it rougher. Get your money back and don't dwell on the past. Don't ever contact the dad again...let the authorities do that while putting his dumb ass in jail.

It is againt the law to open someone else's mail that isn't addressed to you. Also major fraud through unemployment. You need to contact the unemployment office and report this, then the cops, then ditch his ass for good.
