To get a rug burn you need to be having some vigorous sex. I say you scored the trifecta. Rug burn, infection, and great sex. Congrats!

Just saying, and STI isn't the only kind of infection you can get from sex. Could be a urinary tract infection, yeast infection, etc.

I suppose the lesson to be learned here is that your sex life can only get better, and one of the best ways to make it better is to develop the confidence to speak up about your likes and what is or isn't working for you. Especially if you're getting hurt.
