As a woman who is allergic to latex and can't handle the hormones in pills and shots, I'm also allergic to copper, I can tell you they have plenty of nice non-latex condoms. My husband actually says he prefers them anyway

Are you allergic to latex? If so get a latex free condom. Otherwise there are many forms of birth control. Pills are not the only option. I'm sure her and the doctor can find something right for her.

He needs to educate himself: There are latex, non-latex and even hypoallergenic lambskin condoms out there. There are also those without spermicides for those who claim to be allergic to those as well.
