Today, I decided to play a joke on my boyfriend and planned to pretend that I found a thong in his gym bag. When he came home, I "confronted" him. After struggling through putting on my best face, he, unexpectedly confessed: "Look, babe, I'm sorry. It meant nothing." FML

tried to play a joke, or tried to test him and then he failed?

I mean, what did you expect? Best case scenario, you piss off your boyfriend by pulling a stunt like that. Worst case, you find out he's cheating on you. Sorry, kinda your fault.

Yes, I agree that cheating is wrong, but how is falsely accusing your boyfriend of cheating any form of "joke"? You have a sick sense of humor. And his answer doesn't automatically imply that he is cheating, he might have been under pressure to just give you an answer, who knows what he was thinking? You should have a discussion with him about it, instead of bringing it up this way!

I always seem to disagree with whatever the popular opinion is. It was a funny prank that ended up with results that you could have never seen coming. It's not your fault and, now that you know the truth, you can unfuck your life.

I hate how you people get so bent out of shape. Cheating is wrong to degrees, but it all depends on how serious or how far the relationship has gone. This girl gave no indication of how long she has been with the guy, what if its only been a week or a month. Don't get on your high horse unless you have never had a failed relationship.

Well, the joke would've been funny had he not actually been cheating...not really your fault.

Let us quote Pulp Fiction for this one: "If my answers frighten you, Vincent, you should cease asking scary questions"

109, I usually disagree with the popular opinion too. It's not like she was knowingly 'testing' her boyfriend. She thought such a prank would be funny and it ended up very badly. Hardly her fault. Now, if she had done this knowingly and then was upset at the answer she received, I would understand the popular opinion. But I guess I just don't get how someone being cheated on is their fault.

Why lie? You weren't joking, you were testing him. And he failed. I've done that in the past myself. Since then I've decided ignorance is bliss and if I do have to find out something bad, I'd rather it not be because i was searching it out.
