Why are people saying it's really young? It was her choice, everyone feels ready to have sex at diffrent ages. Maybe she just felt ready then? And as long as she wasn't forced into it, there's nothing wrong with it. So all you religious people need to take a chill pill

just because some immature kid 'thinks' they're ready for sex, doesn't mean they actually are. Fourteen is a little young. Not everyone has the responsibility and courage to have safe sex at this age, especially under peer pressure. And I speak from experience.

that's not true. maybe she had some kind of experience in the past (Oral sex, Lesbianism, whatever..) that prepared her for it emotionally. I was totally prepared to lose my virginity at age fourteen because I'd already gotten my emotions straight with different, less serious experiences.

@56 I'm not religious at ALL and my parents are not conservative either, they let me and my brothers do our own thing 14 is too young, I know what I was like and what others were like at 14, immature and NOT READY FOR SEX! People who do it at young ages have SERIOUS problems or will cuz they haven't had the time to mature and think about that stuff. I'm not one of those "mate for life" people either, I just think you should wait till 18 or older, like, AFTER high school or AFTER you've moved out of your parents house

i was 16 when i lost it, which is legal in the UK so get over it americans. most of my fiends lost it before they were even 14, which is just wrong really, i think 15/16 is fine as long as you're in a relationship etc.
