Today, I must be the only person who has been taking the contraceptive pill for six years without ever needing to use it as a contraceptive. FML

Tons of people take birth control. Hell, I'm a lesbian and I take it to regulate my hormones/period/migraines. The real FML is that you haven't had sex in six years.

It's kindof sad that everyone says "ohhh, it sucks that you haven't had sex in six years" There is a ton of people that never have because they don't want to. I'm not having sex until I'm married. And I'm fine with that. so honestly anyone can survive without having sex. It's not that big of a deal.

keep taking it anyway because stable hormones are a good thing.

Nope, I am a lesbian. I also do not use it as a contraceptive. #yaytechnicalities

makes perfect sense to me (with a wink and a sweet smile)

wow. most girls I know would have no problem finding someone to screw.

am I the only person who thinks she might have found out that she is sterile? it might be wrong, but that was the first thing I thought..

That was my first thought, too. However, upon further consideration, I decided that "involuntary" abstinance was more likely, given mindset of most FML readers.

Sounds to me like your wasting British Tax dollars if that is the only reason your taking it. And what ever happened to some "self indulgence" to get over the slow times. First rule, you are responsible for your own happiness. Quit whining and make some changes in your life.

wen the time is right ... ur day will com! lol stop bein soo fukin impatient people

Stop being so impatient to get out of school, you might learn to spell. :)

Actually I am in the same boat, mostly. I have been on "the pill" for years...due to PCOS. Not til about 2 months ago did I even need it for any other reason.

I am amazed that theres a fight going on about sex.. what are we, 10? and I totally agree with everyone that says that sex isn't the most important thing.. & yeah I'm a virgin saying that. you got a problem with that? I don't give a flying ****. I'm 14 ******* years old! I don't need to be ******* every guy I see. jeez.

yea... when I was fourteen I didn't even want to know that much about sex, I was more interested in football and being a kid. But now I'm nineteen and sex is much more important in my life. To OP: My aunt had to go on the pill to control her periods when she was about thirteen, yet didn't marry until she was thirty, which is quite a bit longer than six years.

122: Either you're a bit naive to assume your aunt didn't need birth control between the ages 13 and 30, or you've left out an important piece of info here. I'm going to assume the latter.
