Today, while talking to my boyfriend, he got upset and accused me of making up words to make him feel stupid. All because I used the word "vapid." FML

Well it's not a common word. I know what it means, but cannot think of a time when I, or someone else has used it in conversation. Maybe next time, don't be so pretentious and use words that serve only to make yourself feel smart. Seriously, who says vapid?

Seriously, who accuses their significant other -- someone they're supposed to love and trust -- of making words up, just because they'd never heard it before? And who accuses people of using certain words to make themselves feel smart just because the accuser clearly has a limited vocabulary? You are one sad little man, Seamus.

But Me good at talking England and stuff

Maybe you should invest in a dictionary for your boyfriend this Christmas?

Very good use at describing yourself or your sex life. Time for a new boyfriend.

Look in my face, stare in my soul I begin to STUPIFY!!!!!

I've never heard of that word. But I wouldn't get upset over it.

Vapid: lacking or having lost life, sharpness, or flavor; insipid; flat There ya go everyone who's wondering!

My coworker, who i might add is only less then a year younger then me, doesnt know what vendictive or lathergic means, its really irritating considering ive said those two words to her multiple times and told her what they mean each time, so i feel your pain op

Is it vapid or was it a typo for rapid. Like for example. In bed you are pretty rapid to end it. Yes? No? Ok

Not a typo, vapid is a word, meaning dull

#82 I know it is. It's sarcasm. Hence the sarcastic example my friend.

Sarcasm doesnt count in text because sarcasm is a tone of voice, u cant hear that in text "my friend" (that last bit is sarcasm)

Sarcasm isn't a tone of voice lol it's the use of words that's contextual meaning is opposite of it real meaning... And hahaha it doesn't count in text?
