Today, while shopping at American Eagle, I found the same "$1,500" wedding ring my fiancé proposed to me with, marked on sale for $10.95. FML

they do make duplicates of rings so the less fortunate can buy them........

sorry you're engaged to a cheap douche bag. dump him

**** you you selfish piece of shit, you self indulgent *****! He gave you something to show his commitment to you and he loves you, and all you care about is how much it cost! Jesus Christ, I hope he realizes the horrible mistake he's made and dumps your ass!

Maybe she's concerned because he lied to her about it.

she was lied to you asshat. I hope you marry someone and they lie to you about cheating on you. The point is he LIED...

if you love each other, money should be an option. As long as you're together, you should be happy. True love is hard to find! Quit bitching about your ring and realize that you probably have it pretty good.

if your shopping at american eagle your too young to get married ydi

Just think lots of woman will be wearing the same ring as you

I wouldn't expect a 1,500$ ring, but then again if a man proposed to me with a 10.95$ one I'd dump the cheap bastard. It's not just about the money. The ring symbolizes his love for you, and if a man isn't willing to get a decent one that's just where it begins. It proves that he's not willing to sacrifice for the people he loves, whether it is the money or the time to earn it. When I'm out of cash and a friend's birthday is coming up I do whatever I can to get enough for a decent gift. Whether it is borrowing it or working a couple hours more, it's not that hard and it's definitely worth the effort.

it's not the ring part the OP is concerned with, it's the fact she was lied to. it's like men who cheat and lie about it. Or if you marry someone and they were in jail on an armed robbery and was released and lied about it or never told you. Marriage is about being faithful and honest, it's just the fact that he lied about it. Not a good way to start off marriage. Considering most of you probably aren't married or are still teens need to understand the meaning of being honest. (Plus the name calling shows maturity) When you love someone truly you are honest & open with them. I've been married since I was 19 and were still more in love as we were back in 1994. Because we are HONEST with each other.
