Today, I was out with my boyfriend, when he started browsing wedding rings. He found a ring, proposed to me right there in front of a crowd, and then was promptly denied a payment plan. We left without a ring. FML

the one at AE could be a knock off of another ring. if in doubt go have it appraised. just remember the ring doesn't make your relationship.

Another reason why this is inconsiderate for the circumstance - This could also have been embarrassing for OP when someone else pointed out that her ring was fake or when someone tried to bond with her bc they were wearing the same piece of costume jewelry.

Didn't your mum ever teach you when a guy gives you an engagement ring, go try to cut a mirror with it. If it cuts it, its real, if it doesn't, its fake. Also, how would you know its the same ring as that one?
