Today, my parents are freaking at me because I just got my report and I failed my first year of college. They told me they have never been more disappointed in me. I have to tell them that I'm also pregnant. FML

Today, I had to go through the embarrassment and pain of telling my parents I was pregnant. I took the test and it came out positive and I was freaking out. I got grounded for the rest of the year and they're really disappointed in me. Five minutes ago, I got my period. FML

Today, I had a half-hour conversation with my parents about going to college. I don't know what's worse, that they were trying to talk me out of it or that they're convinced that I'm going to get knocked up and drop out by the end of my freshman year. FML

Today, my siblings came home for the weekend. At dinner, my dad started complaining at how one of my siblings had gotten fired, one was failing college, and the other was gay. He went on to say I was 17 and already had a bright future. I'm pregnant. FML

Today, my parents have made it very clear to me that if I fail one more assignment, they’re disowning me. I got a zero on a paper that I poured my heart and soul into, and in the notes, the teacher wrote, “I don’t even need to read this paper to know that it is bad.” FML

Today, my parents saw my report card. Now, they refuse to buy me my the new computer I've always wanted because my grades had 'slipped'. I made honor roll for three terms, and was kept off for the fourth for a single bad grade. I failed gym. FML

Today, I got my report card, and thought I did pretty well with a GPA of 3.58. My parents freaked out over the 3 B's I had, and proceeded to look up which colleges would still accept me. I just finished my first quarter as a freshman in high school. FML

I found out a LOT about private student loans when I needed one my freshman year, and they DON'T deny you based on your parents income, they deny you based on your COSIGNERS CREDIT RATING. If your parents made a lot of money and had great credit, you would be fine if you used them for a cosigner. So I don't believe this at all.

I'm glad you are putting everyone in their place!! Stuff happen, even on the pill, I'm living proof :) My mom got pregnant with me on her 18th birthday with her boyfriend of 2 years while on the pill. I'm so happy you are keeping your child and are not listening to all these jerks acting like abortion is the best option. Good luck to you and keep your head up! You sound like you have your head on straight and you realize that this is going to be difficult. You can do it!! Also, private loans can be quite dangerous because you will end up paying a ton more in interest than you originally even took out unless you can pay ALOT on them on time every time you pay. Try taking regular loans from the government (I don't know if Canada works like the US does on that though)

You should've told them you were pregnant ASAP, that way it would have been easier to blame the decline in grades to stress & that you need to take a year or so off anyway.

I'm shocked at all the cruelty here. How on earth can you judge this girl and say she's a ****? Birth control can fail. You can have sex ONE time and get pregnant. Just because you get pregnant doesn't mean you're a *****.
