Oh what a sad life you lead, having to put up with a self-cleaning oven and steaks for dinner. While kids in Africa are starving and poverty is rife in the world. Quit your whining!

It's rather sad that there are so many 'YDI you don't bake steaks' posts. ;_; This is a GREAT way to cook a steak! You first sear the steak on all sides, then you pop it in the oven, still in the pan, and let it cook a little more. This way you get a perfectly seared, juicy steak without it being undercooked.
