That sounds a lot like 'technical' virginity to me. You can do a lot without penetration, some of which could definitely pass on herpes. Or someone has cheated since. Either way, the person who contracted it first know this and knows how they got it. They are just lying by omission.

Actually, a cold sore is oral herpes, which can be spread to the genitals via oral sex. So, if one of you had a cold sore and went down on the other it could've been contracted that way, and then spread to the other partner via sex. The more you know.

Someone probably cheated. The last time I checked it didn't take 5yrs for herpes to finally show. I've heard about the toilet seat, but only if you have an open sore in the same spot as the infected person (highly unlikely). However I did not know about the cold sore & oral!!

just bc your hubby didn't have sex with you before marriage doesn't mean he was a virgin.... just saying...

maybe ur husband had herpes simplex 1, ate you out and transferred it to your genitalia and then you had sex and you transferred it to him?
