And he actually bought it?
my thoughts exactly lol.... why is YOUR best friend at YOUR girls house alone .... playing "smash" alright 🤣🤡
Hey, OP here. To answer why we play at her place, she's the one with the Gamecube, and copy of Melee. I don't have any Nintendo consoles. Only a PS4. My older brother was the one who owned the Switch, Wii, and Wii U, and after we both moved out, we took our respective consoles with us.
Hope he doesn't catch you two playing "Donkey Dong" or "Call of Doody: Butt Stuff."
I've played smash competitively for a bit now, I've won a few tournaments. The amount of times I've had to have this conversation with people is astronomical. Nowadays I just say "play video games", or "play smash ultimate", because I'm tired of dealing with it lmfao
You are obviously very young not to have known that the phrase smashing means to have sex and the phrase bashing is referring to playing games together or refers to hating on someone. the game used to be called bash Brothers hence the term bashing.
I'm 54, and have been a gamer since the Atari 2600. I've never heard either 'smashing' or 'bashing' used in the way you describe. The almost sound like something I'd expect to be slang in the U.K., but I can't for the life of me figure out why I think that.
