Good advice. It might be her not-so-subtle way of asking the OP to be adventurous. Although good communication makes the best sex (and relationship) so she should probably have just come out and have communicated than being snarky.

I agree, I'm not a huge fan of oral. My husband does a great job at it but it's not something I like very often. I'm sure they can work it out if she is willing to be open with him. Maybe she likes it kinky and is embarrassed to tell him.

If the sex is bad then the sex is bad. You learn to have good sex, OP and his/her SO need to communicate.

She could have just talked to him instead of just flat out telling him in that way. It is a two way street, and she just pushed all the blame in him. I know if I told my husband in that way, he'd feel absolutely terrible. It is emasculating.

If she's serious: If she gets bored shouldn't she do something to change it? I agree, it's as if OP has all the blame. I agree with #4. If she can't take initiative more than a boredom safe word, then it's time for OP to drop her. She's obviously lost all interest in the sex so it's probably safe to assume the same about the relationship altogether.

But I have some kinky friends who tell me the reason for an unusual safe word is because saying things like "stop" and "no" during previously agreed on role play heightens the excitement of the scenario, so it's usually best to choose something neither party would be likely to randomly blurt out during, say, a whipping.
