well most gamers i know are parents, they have good jobs a busy social life and happen to like playing WoW every so often. I have no doubt that there is people like you described but it is in no way most gamers. Oh and for the record I find you get ignored more by bfs who are seriously into sport (just watching not playing, playing does take up time afterall) than by those who are gamers. Have you ever tried talking to a guy while football is on? its like talking to a brick wall lol. Again tho not everyone who watches sport is like this just some i know :)

Not everyone on WoW is a 14 year old recluse. Not one person in my guild is under 16 (which is unusual i suppose) and there is a lot of us WoW players who really cant stand the players who take it too seriously and play 24/7 just to get a fricken achievement. At least if they are on WoW you don't need to deal with their obsessive need to be the best and the fastest to do everything!!! We do lol.

The comments you're referencing weren't in response to the OP, they were in response to snickerdoodles, who said that "gamers" (defined by playing more than two hours of a game in a day) never do anything but play their games and aren't worthy of being dated.

and it was never stated that he was playing online. perhaps he just got the game because he finally saw some interest with it being cheap due to it being out for quite some time. he'd probably be in the story mode and have the GF that comes with it. him playing the game still makes sense... his actions towards the OP don't lol
