Today, my boyfriend of six months called me. He said his mom was making him choose between having a dog or having a girlfriend. I asked him which one he picked. He went quiet, and I heard barking in the background. FML

Today, my girlfriend broke up with me over the phone, after having left me to look after her dog while she went on a 2-week vacation with her family. Now I have to choose between paying for a kennel for her damn dog or taking care of it every day until she gets back. FML

What a mom. It's not like you're going to roll on their floor all day after you rolled in mud outside, bark at them or they have to walk you at least three times a day... I've never heard of anyone who had to make the choice of having a dog or a girlfriend!

what are you, in kindergarten? His mom made him choose between a girlfriend and a dog? Is his mother mentally unstable? I understand controlling a three-year old's ice cream consumption but a girlfriend??? Either you are way too young to have a relationship (i.e. you are 12) or his mother has lost a few marbles
