#1 didn't say it was well-planned out positively. Just well-planned.
Don't let this ruin your baby shower, talk to your mom and sister bc it's going to be a celebration about you, they shouldn't make this about themselves despite slipped words.

Just explain what you meant to your mom. If she doesn't understand, than that's just sad.
I'm sure the mother would love an explanation, hearing that her daughter used to love her probably made her sad.
Aaaand that's why there needs to be an explanation from OP so her mom can see she didn't mean in in past tense.

Totally. It's obvious that she was reminiscing about her relationship with her mother at that age. This should turn into a family joke!
I'm sure that if you just explain her your mistake, she'll understand. She's your mother. If she doesn't, then well..
Also, if you aren't confident with your explanation, I'm sure that the reason people use past tense for these particular things is because they're referring to themselves as children. People who love their parents now may not have as much or at all as children and vice versa, for another situation. Good luck with your explanation and I hope all goes well!

That's exactly how I would have taken it. No doubt the sister just took the entire phrase out of context as well to make OP look bad.
