Today, my boyfriend of five years proposed to me in front of my entire family. He later confessed that it was part of a dare with his friends because, "There was no way you'd say yes." Guess who has to explain this to all my relatives? FML

I agree! if he truly cares about her and wants to eventually marry her, he will own up to it to all of the family. but if it was a joke that will never occur in reality, he needs to tell her now and they can part ways. I don't think he was being a jerk, I just think boys will be boys and girls need to calm down and give them some leeway! (=
