i understand his reasoning all women always ask their men how they would like if they cut their to a certain length and he definitely told you don't which is his own opinion, you didn't have to take it as controller but respecting him n his wishes. Maybe they haven't been dating for to long and so she didn't feel like asking if she should get her hair cut. Anyways it was her choice and she chose to get it cut. She shouldn't have to ask if she can cut her hair or not.
