Today, I told my students that I would be absent tomorrow because my wife was giving birth. They burst into applause... not to congratulate me on the new baby. FML

No, not fail. Usually that means he's a good teacher.... Kids hate teachers that make them learn..

All kids love substitute teachers! They get away with everything and most likely dont have to do any work! Hence prob why they were happy you were going to be absent. :D
