Well, this is going to be absolutely no help to you now, but figured I'd post it anyways. I'm allergic to sunscreen and really pale, and my family LOVES going on tropical vacations. You just find some lightweight, loose clothing to go around in. The looks you get when you're swimming around in sweats, a jacket, and a floppy hat at least make things interesting :)
