Today, I played a goth character in my friend's student film with goth clothes, lip ring, eyeliner, etc. We went into Starbucks at break and an elderly man came up to me and said "Your kind is the reason for all the bad stuff in this world" and then spat in my $5 drink. FML

I would have done one of the following: a) Thrown the drink back in his face b) Grabbed his arm and told me that he needs to buy me a new drink for harassing me c) Done something super creepy/weird to freak him out d) Said something to totally prove him wrong like, "Well, I was going to help serve at the soup kitchen for the homeless this evening, then I was going to go home and have a nice night playing board games with my whole family and watch (some G rated movie)... Thanks for informing me that I'm the root of all evil. I guess I just won't do that now," in a super sweet (but not sarcastic) tone of voice. :D Seriously though, all the "goths" I know are way nicer and less judgmental than a lot of the cheerleaders and football players I know. People who discriminate based on clothing really grind my gears. FYL for being discriminated against for seeming to be someone your not.

I wish I could give you more than +1. A lot of people dress like that because they're depressed, and a lot of them are depressed because everyone is so damned judgemental. They can be very nice people if given the chance.

Throw it in his face and say "YOU BET YOUR ASS WE ARE!" :P :P Though that would be like proving his point. You could just say "and spitting in other people's drink isnt wrong at all!" THEN spit on him and say "NOW IM GOOD AND PURE LIKE YOU!" :D

I wouldn't be able to just sit there either... though I wouldn' throw it in his face, as tempting as it is. I'd simply tell him what an idiot he is and eventually force him to apologize...or at least make him leave in a strop knowing I'm right >:] Lol
