Today, I learned that ham is part of a pig, and not a completely different animal. I'm eighteen. FML

So you thought a ham was an animal? What did you think it looked like? What sound did you think it made?

Actually, ham is a fruit. Haven't you ever driven past a ham farm and seen the inbred Republicans plucking the ripe, juicy, pink hams from the tallest trees? I can take you to one, it's such an inspiring sight. Afterward, we can go snipe hunting, I know a GREAT spot.

I take it you have no Jewish or Muslim friends ...

Wtf does that have to do with anything.... Apart from Muzzers believing in Hellfire, for eating Kuffar meat. I know plenty of Jews, who love bacon, as much as I do

it's okay. I'm 16 and still don't know where sausage comes from. ::

I'm ashamed to say, same here. maybe a pig...? or a cow...? I honestly don't know. :|

Depends on the kind of sausage. in the UK it's normally pork or beef... if they are cheap sausages they could contain any meat under the sun... According to Wikipedia, US sausages are usually made from pork, which is what i would say sausages are most commonly made out of in the UK too.

sausages can be any meat including turkey ( dont seem to get chicken ones for some reason.) I think the default meat is pork well in the uk anyway. A quick question for any American commentors- are hamburgers made of pork over there because they seem to be beef burgers here but the name has stuck :S

I find it ironic since you live in Texas but you didnt know what a ham was lol

Do you live in the city? I'm not being like... racist(?) but there was a survey that told us that people in the city are less likily to know where their food comes from. I don't know how true this is, but I've been a country girl since I was born and I have always known where my food comes from. That's why I am vegetarian. You probaby don't want to know where sausages come from.

Then you dont want to know how jell-o is made....
