Today, I kissed my husband and said, "I love you." That's when our 5 year-old son said to my husband, "How can you love her so much if she's so ugly?" FML

This is a sign that your child does not fear you enough. Corporal punishment works.

If my son ever said that to me, I would make him address me as "ma'am" instead of "mom" from then on to show more respect. I'm sure you are a lovely lady. :)

hi this is just for F********

Awww my daughter has said some pretty rash things before. But it does sound as though he's heard your hubby say this before....

#13, I actually don't buy your argument. A five year old has a pretty good idea that insulting people is wrong (at least if they were raised properly). The problem is, nobody wants to be a parent today but everybody wants to have a kid. He sounds like a miserable brat but in a way its almost a YDI situation simply because they allowed him to turn out this way. Personally, I hate children and find 90% of them annoying no matter what. However, if so many of them didn't behave like that, I wouldn't mind them quite as much.

by the time your kid is 5, you should have taught him how to control what he says. still though, don't take it personally... just because he said that doesn't mean you actually are ugly. he's probably just repeating something he heard on tv.

#27 I love Russell Peters! I agree with everyone else, you need to give that kid a spanking and teach him that he cannot talk to people in that way. If he thinks he can call his mother ugly then what do you think he is calling children at day care?
