I work a full-time job and actually earn more than my husband. I wanted to get a black rose tattoo the other month so I did! Sure, I told him what I was going to do but it wasn't up for discussion. Likewise with other decisions affecting my body - like the fact I'm trying to get my tubes tied. I'm happy to discuss things, but the choice is ultimately mine and mine alone. I don't need to ask his permission! (and before anyone starts - yes he gets to do what he likes with his own money and we've been happily married for years)
