But then why would she hide it? And even if that was the case, it still sucks that she would buy one for herself and not replace the one that got stolen from her child. When I was a kid my iPod actually did get stolen, and my mom replaced it for me as soon as she could afford to. I can't imagine her ever having stolen it herself or buying herself a new one when she knew how upset I was at losing mine.

so was it hers, she thought was stolen and you found it for her? saying "the ipod" doesn't mean the ipod was OP's... so good for you! glad you found it!
