Today, I came home and saw on our fridge, "Please don't drink anymore, I really worry about your health" written by my 7-year-old daughter. I figured she wouldn't ever find out, so I opened the fridge. Then I found another note on a can that said, "So you're going to drink anyway?" FML

You should feel lucky to have a smart daughter who really cares about you.

As the child of an alcoholic who will probably never stop and will die because of her liver, despite all I have done and suffered through to try and help her, I feel your daughter should be the one writing on this website.

She's 7. That means she's in the second grade. Don't jump to the conclusion that the guy is a hardcore wifebeating drunk. She probably heard some DARE or MADD propaganda in school, and being the lovable little girl that she is, doesn't want poor daddy to get liver disease and die, leaving mommy as a destitute pill popper and deemed an unfit parent, leaving little tabitha teetotaller a ward of the state. Please, people. Think before you lay into someone based on 300 words or less on the ironic and mildly amusing things that happen to people.

you have an awesome daughter. Stop being a Dumbass and listen to everyone else here and quite before you kill yourself, or her

smart girl. try and listen to her maybe?

hey man, the fact u included this hard moment of your life online shows that it does concern you and matter to you in someway. I congratulate you in not completely ignoring this moment, and I think someday you can look back on to this in a positive way or a negative way. The determining factor will be what you do next- do you do nothing and continuing risking your health and daughters love? Or do you take action and ensure that this will be something you and your family can look back on in a positive light? Beautiful story, your daughter must be great, and I am sure you have something to do with that!

Your daughter is looking out for you. That is so sweet of her. You must have done something right raising her! Take into account what she is saying, and get help if you need to.

"Today, my dad died of a drinking caused death... he was the only thing that inspired me. FML" Wait till your child finds this site....

You really need to get your shit together if your 7 year old daughter notices your drinking problem! Disgusting.
