Today, I came home and saw on our fridge, "Please don't drink anymore, I really worry about your health" written by my 7-year-old daughter. I figured she wouldn't ever find out, so I opened the fridge. Then I found another note on a can that said, "So you're going to drink anyway?" FML

You should feel lucky to have a smart daughter who really cares about you.

Feel lucky that your seven year old cares about you.

of course you deserved that one.

I was in the same situation as that as a child only I wasn't so creative. This just makes me sad.

what a clever little girl! it's so sweet too, you should listen to her, she loves you more than you love your own health.

To the people who are saying "Stop assuming he's an alcoholic. She's just seven, she doesn't know what she's talking about," maybe YOU don't know what you're talking about. This guy exhibited a classic sign of alcoholism when he "figured she wouldn't find out." Alcoholics always try to hide or justify their drinking. If he didn't have a problem, he wouldn't care about people's approval, least of all his child's. And yes, I'm speaking as the son of an alcoholic and the ex-fiance of another.

Dude, listen to your daughter. You must be a heavy drinker if she notices.

i would listen to her. my dad never listen to my smart ass seven year old self when i fussed at him for smelling like beer. now, he sits in front of the computer screen devoid of life, playing poker with strangers and chugging as much beer as he possibly can. i try and strike up conversation, and he tells me to go away. im bad luck. no child year old should have to deal with that. get help with your problems or in eight years every time she sees you all shell be able to think is "is he really that miserable because of me?"

#189. This. Also, #78 :P But seriously. Dude. I know it's been said, but please, quit drinking. Your daughter deserves the chance to grow up with a sober parent.
