Today, I came home and saw on our fridge, "Please don't drink anymore, I really worry about your health" written by my 7-year-old daughter. I figured she wouldn't ever find out, so I opened the fridge. Then I found another note on a can that said, "So you're going to drink anyway?" FML

You should feel lucky to have a smart daughter who really cares about you.

living with alcoholic parents is the worst thing for kids, especially when you try to hide it. get help dude.

dont ******* drink! my dad was an alcoholic! its the worst ******* think you can do to a kid! your torturing her! get help, it really ruins their lives... and yes #235 it is even worse when you hide it. by the time she is 12 or 13 if your still drinking she will have thought up of millions of ways to stop it... get help please.

i did the exact thing when i was little... i taped a sad note about how sad i was that he was still gonna drink on every vodka bottle... and I taped the fridge closed and i put chairs all over the kitchen, but that didnt stop him. It really affects your kids to drink like that, no matter what your drinking. but it is insane how the DATE programe makes your kids freak about the tiniest bit of alcohol. If you have a drinking problem the best thing is to go get help... its really killing your daughter, and you should concider how sweet and amazing it is that she loves and cares about you enough to do that... shes a great daughter i wouldnt be able to hurt her any more if i were youl

sorry, but you're a huuuge jerk if you make your 7yrs old worry like that!!! what kind of parent are you?? go to rehab.

Clever girl. You should take her advice.

Yeah. Seriousely, take the hint. Do not let your stupid alcohol ruin your family and your child's life. If you do not change I hope you die of alcohol poisoning soon.

I went awwww when I read this. Hope you end up listening to your kid. :)

This is really cute, even if you don't drink to excess.

That poor girl; what a damn shame. I'm pretty sure you have a problem if a 7-year-old feels uncomfortable with you drinking. Do something about it.

I agree with #237. If you really do have a problem, do get help. But like #237 said, it is really insnae how progrmas such as DARE do make kids freak out over the tiniest bit of alcohol. My younger brother, he's 9, came home from school once and pointed at my dad's bar, (he has one in the basement for when guests are over, and he collects Vodka) and said "Daddy has alcohol, he's a bad person. Alcohol is bad. Don't ever drink it." Small shotglass or a drink every once in a while isn't bad. Drinking all the time is, but not a small drink every once in a while. If you really do have a problem though, do something about it. It's a shame your 7 year old daughter had to do something like that to make you realize you have a problem.
