Whether it was practical or not, it was rude. Are you sure it wasn't a joke? Did they give you a real present, too? If not, honestly examine their criticisms. If there's no truth to it, be warned you have a hater in your midst.

lol that reminds me of my dad apparently before my parents got married my grandma (on moms side) was trying to et the to guess their wedding present. she gave the hint that it's something a couple needs right after they get married. my dad suggested a divorce attorney :P and that sucks, fyl op
