One time I was putting something away in the fridge. A phone was in my other hand and I almost put it in the fridge. Maybe that's how it happened.

Not necessarily . I've done it, perfectly sober. Only I put down my set of keys instead of my phone. Found them the next day, at breakfast.

Hey better than me. Sometimes while leaving my house, I am panicking about where my phone is, while on the phone with somebody. And yes, the other person on the line will actually hear me say "where the fuck is my phone?" and not say anything because it's hilarious.

Sometimes when I take stuff out of the fridge I put my phone down for a second. I've never forgotten it but I can see how the OP could have done it
