No one deserves it when their SO treats them like shit. No girl is going to say "that cute guy over there is an insensitive douche but I'm going to date him anyway". Typically when you start dating someone you don't know everything about them. Dating is a way to get to know them. I'm so sick of these "YDI you picked him comments".

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH men..... sometimes I am ashamed to be a part of that group. Amazing that his mind is so one-track, but then again what do you expect. When my mother-in-law passed, I spent a good part of the funeral thinking how hot my wife looked in her little black dress... I didn't however act upon my feeling or say anything. Obviously your boyfriend needs a "filter" between his brain (both of them, big and little) and his mouth. Sorry about your mom! And sorry about your impending break up
