Men get into fewer accidents per mile, they just drive more miles. The average pilot crashes airplanes more often than me, but that doesn't mean I'm better at flying airplanes.

Per mile, yes they get into less accidents but the difference is marginal. And men get far, far more DUIs than women. The biggest determiner of risk is age, drivers under 25 get into far more accidents across the board than older age groups.
